"Well, that was pretty much the best movie I have ever seen."Those were the words that escaped my mouth after stepping out of the movie theater that night.
Instant, cult classic!
From the makers of "Finding Nemo," Pixar Animation Studios takes us on a heart-warming adventure taking place 700 years in the future on the completely deserted planet earth.
Humans abandoned earth because of over-pollution, and have become permanent space tenants of the luxury space cruiser known as "The Axiom." By the way, total leftist propaganda there...I'll let it slide.
Earth's only hope for re-settlement lies in the hands of a lonely cleaner droid. Meet WALL-E; Waste Allocation Load Lifter. This lonely little robot has more mixed emotions than a woman on her wedding day.
WALL-E is an emotional wreck; hes everything from nostalgic to romantic. And I don't mean just romantic, I mean ROMANTIC! You'll know what I mean when you watch it yourself. Might be a good idea to bring your girlfriend though.
A third of the movie is spent following the little bot around with his nameless cockroach friend, who seems to have the ability to, literally, cheat death. The bot dutifully carries out his task as the last cleaner droid on earth, and stacks colossal piles of trash all day long.
One day he discovers a probe droid named "EVA," sent from the humans living in outer space. That's when the fun really begins. Eva has just as much heart as WALL-E, but is just a little afraid to show it. Instead, she focuses on her "directive," which is to find a growing plant on earth, and bring it back to the humans. At that point she would return to the Axiom, and let the humans know that earth is once again inhabitable.
Well I don't want to ruin it for you folks, but she does find a living plant, and returns to the Axiom. Little does she know that love-struck WALL-E would follow her even into the outer reaches of space.
You'll just have to see for yourself what happens from then on, but I must warn you...you will be transformed from this movie.
A MUST-SEE, take your kids, but you might find yourself enjoying it more than them!
